CCERBAL 2023 CONFERENCE

BILINGUALISM AND MULTILINGUALISM: TRANSVERSAL SKILLS, MOBILITY AND WELL-BEING

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Please note that in order to be able to submit an abstract, you will need to create an account. If you already have an account, please log in.
  • Submissions via our online portal can be in English or French. Presentations at the conference can be in French, English or bilingual. You may also consider another language for your presentation if you think there will be an audience capable of understanding it or if you ensure that there are visual aids (e.g., PowerPoint slides) that help the audience understand your presentation.
  • Please submit only one proposal per person as a first author.
  • Proposals must be anonymous.
  • Please note that our system is set up to receive the text of your proposal pasted directly into the platform. If you need to upload graphics or additional information as an attachment, please email us at ccerbal@uottawa.ca for special instructions.
  • Please include 3-5 keywords (separated by commas) for your abstract in the corresponding field (note that this field is separate from the abstract field).

SUBMISSION FORMAT (in person or online)

Presentations: 20 minutes followed by 10 minutes of discussion.
Proposal: 300 words.

Posters:
Proposal: 300 words. The measurements of the poster boards available at the conference will be 4 feet x 4 feet (120 cm x 120 cm).

Workshops: 60 minutes.
Proposal: 300 words.

Symposiums: 120 minutes.
Proposal: introduction/description of symposium theme (150 words) and presentation descriptions (300 words) for each speaker as well as speaker names and affiliations (please include as additional authors in the system during the submission process).

Roundtables: 60 minutes.
Proposal: introduction/description of the roundtable theme (300 words) as well as the names and affiliations of the speakers (please include them as additional authors in the system during the submission process).
